Some things are still universal...

...Such as the immaturity of teenage boys. Today was our coach tour through London - it was mostly the 'on your left is such-and-such' type of ride, where you snap frantic pictures as you go by historic landmarks, but we did get to hop off the coach at St. James' Park (nearby is Buckingham Palace) and at Tower Bridge.
That's basically a preface to emphasize how much time we spent on the bus seeing the sights. Besides that, we got to spend a lot of time in traffic, and that made me realize how universal guy behavior is. We passed a bus of Welsh schoolkids (I'm guessing upper middle or high schoolers), and kept spotting them randomly in traffic for a few minutes. One minute they were staring quizzically/kind of laughing at us, and the next, they decided to pull down their trousers and moon us.
That's right, we got mooned during the coach tour. *sigh* But everyone, even our tour guide, was really amused. It was pretty hilarious.
So there's a highlight from my very busy day. Expect a fuller report on the weekend!
P.S. For those who watch Torchwood, have you seen the newest episode yet? I just re-watched (BBC 2 is so kind to me in that respect) and want to have a bit of a rant. Anyone agree?

Date: February 7th, 2008 11:10 pm (UTC)We were rolling in the aisles laughing, and then everyone else saw/started giggling, and it was just a hilarious London moment. Our tour guide said it was the first time she'd ever been mooned, though she'd been doing these tours for 20-some years. Good times. :)
