I bet you twenty pounds that I could have passed her somewhere on the High Street during my Edinburgh adventure and not even have known it. Argh! Why, J.K., why must you be so good at espionage?

Well, yesterday was officially "Harry Potter Takes Elon" day, which marked two awesome things: playing Quidditch under the oaks (no flying brooms, sadly) and having a "Yule Ball". Quidditch was my favorite part of the day, though. It was kind of a combination of basketball, ultimate frisbee, and a few other P.E. games, but much more awesome. There were two Chasers, a Beater, and 1 Seeker on each team (we had less people than originally expected), as well as two "Snitchers" who threw Snitches into the field for the Seekers to catch. (There were four Snitches, three of which were decoys to allow the game to last long.) Friends [livejournal.com profile] tkurogrym  , and [livejournal.com profile] dozmuffinxc   were there to play and enjoy the fun. [livejournal.com profile] elvenlaughter  also showed up later in the evening at the Yule Ball.

[livejournal.com profile] dozmuffinxc  wrote about the day in her journal, and included pictures (and hilariously, video) from the event. You can see them here! Edit: Never mind, she took most of the pictures down. However, if you'd like to see our rendition of the Potter Puppet Pals, here's the YouTube link. If you want to YouTube the original version by Neil Cicieriega, that's here. My personal favorite is "Potions Class".

Anyway, I talked to my mom this afternoon and made plans for when I am officially going to move out: Friday at 2pm. *sad panda* My RA is also not here during winter term, so I'm guessing I have to wrangle one of my RA friends to check me out. Anyone want to assist me with that? *hint hint*

In other news, IT'S SNOWING!! Mostly flurries, and nothing is sticking yet, but the flakes are getting larger and larger by the minute. Considering that it's the Piedmont and we never get snow here, I'm very excited to see it. Winter may return after all. :)
