Okay, so all of you probably know about my newest TV obsession, the show Mad Men on AMC.

But you didn't know that I wrote my first Mad Men fanfic, or that I just posted said fic to the LJ community [livejournal.com profile] coloringmadmen!!! I am pleased as punch by this little blurb and I hope to churn out a few more in future (right about the time when I get over my blockage on Chapter 5+ regarding Tragic Kingdom.)

Anyway, it's been shamelessly linked just so I can squee over it some more. It's so exciting to dabble in a brand-new fandom like this. I'm all a-flutter. XD

Edit: For those of you who are tired of hearing about this TV show and want to get a hint of what it's about without being completely spoiled, here's one of the old S1 promos I found on YouTube. I wish they'd posted the full version of this, as that was the first preview I saw and it was absolutely brilliant. But this will do nicely.

Right, so, after I got home from work, I made a cup of tea and grabbed some chocolate, in preparation to sit in front of my tv and watch Britcoms on this rainy Saturday night.

When I turn on my TV, guess what I find? A documentary -- but not just any documentary -- one about my university and our approach/campaign to become more "green" in our energy use!!!!

Apparently it was filmed around a year or so ago, by a girl in my major, surprisingly! And, I saw lots of people and places that I recognized in the thirty minutes it was on. Awesome? I think so. I was definitely excited. The link describing the film is below, should you want a more thorough summary.

And now, because my Britcoms have yet to come on, I'm going to watch the latest ep of Doctor Who!! YAY!
