In case you'd forgotten my motto on packing, here it is in a nutshell: I can't be bothered. Kthx.

To add to my pessimism, I am coming down with some sort of evil allergies/cold/sinus-gripping virus. It's making breathing a pain. And tomorrow is my last day in this beautiful city. AND we get back the debacle of art from Hilary.

On the bright side, I saw two plays today -- Phantom (finally!) and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Did I neglect to mention that the last was actually performed in Shakespeare's Globe? (Silly me. It was indeed. And it was AWESOME.)

And now, to bed. Dear Lord, what a day.

*takes deep breath* Whew! Seeing Much Ado is about the most interesting thing I’ve done the past couple of days. Besides that, I’m basically trying not to catch the cold-flu hybrid that everyone else in my flat has. (It’s not working so well.) Next week, though, we're seeing a production of Mamet's Speed the Plow (with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum in the title roles), so I’m interested to see how that goes.

So, I'm supposed to be reading Othello, to study for tomorrow's quiz, but this is what I've been doing so far: geeking out on Harry Potter fanart and simultaneously geeking out on Shakespeare.

Part 1: By page 3ish of Othello, Iago has said, "Your daughter and the duke made the beast with two backs". I laugh hysterically for ten minutes.

Part 2: http://conductemort.ytmnd.com/

I can't stop laughing. That is all.

And now I'm doing this. Oh, the unproductivity of life.

This is mainly due to the fact that the adaptation of Richard III we watched today was utterly and completely cracked out. Here's a clip of the beginning. Imagine what the rest of the film was like, if you dare.

If I were Ian McKellen, I'd be all over the Wite-Out trying to get this off my resume. He could also type 'King Lear' and LOTR in gigantic letters if he wanted to really get creative.
