Two funny things that happened to me this afternoon:
1. I went to choir, and everyone was pretty tired/not in a singing mood. Result? We sounded horrible/off-key for a good thirty minutes, especially the sopranos. After six or eight repetitions of the same measure, our choir director had this to say: "Um, sopranos, if you could just take this piece home and learn these notes, that would be great. The other choir members would really appreciate it. *pauses for a minute.* As well as the congregation. *pause* And, ultimately, God."
Well, we all improved after that. It's not like we were under pressure, or anything. :)
2. As I was walking back from the parking lot to the dorm, I met dozmuffinxc on the way back and we stopped to chat. While walking and talking, a car full of people passed by us. One guy leaned out of the window of the car and yelled "Nerds! Go study in the library!" as it passed. We paused, realized how stupid he sounded, and kept going. However, the same guy kept randomly yelling "nerds" at us until the car had driven too far away for us to hear him.
Lesson? At this point, we are all well out of sixth grade (last time I checked, that is), but there are, apparently, some guys who still hang out there if they've got some spare time. They should probably stop doing so. Sheesh.
Anyway, it was a laugh, and I thought I'd share. Back to doing nothing *cough* I mean, studying for my gigantic and impossibly hard exam (read: multiple choice and already-seen quiz questions.)

(Which means, essentially, "sluglike creature" and is one of my favorite insults from The Superior Person's Book of Words. Said in the right tone of voice, confuses the heck out of people who aren't sure if they're meant to be complimented or insulted.)
