Well, I use the Zoolander quote in order to break a bit of depressing news. I woke up this morning, spent time with my cats, and then went to feed my fish, Gandalf.
When I went to see him, he was lying sideways in the bowl. Sometimes he does that, so I shook the water to see if he'd stir. Nothing. I reached in to poke him, but he didn't move. I spent two or three minutes, taking him out, seeing if he'd move, trying to gauge his breathing. That's when I realized he'd died -- must have been sometime last night.
So I took him out of the bowl, washed him off, and had a little mini-funeral before sending him off to his watery burial plot.
Anyway, he had a good life -- loved his bowl and swimming around the pink coral. Next time I see LOTR and our favorite Grey/White Wizard, I will think of my cute little fish. Sigh.
